Mirabai Galati

Mirabai Galati (she/her) is a user researcher at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and is based in London. She has a background in cultural and medical anthropology. She chose this career as it combines some of the passions that drove her to anthropology in the first place: an interest in others’ perspectives, hearing about people's experiences, technologies and their impact on society.

Her pronouns are she/her. As LGBTQ+ ally, she actively advocates for more a more inclusive design system and work environments taking part into dedicated groups and webinars. At Together in Tech she’s part of the user research team, where she works closely with Elodie and Cristina. They ensure that our community voices and needs are heard and considered in how the team organises and structures Together in Tech. They love a research session!

The passion for people and their stories, is also what makes her, well, her. A friend once told her “This is because you love people’s stories” as a response to her comment regarding her preference for articles and newsletters with a more “human” touch. A favourite book at the moment: “Tra le rose e le viole: la storia e le storie di transessuali e travestiti” by Porpora Marcasciano.
